Brian Warner of the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball team joined an assembly to recognize the newest students of character who were honored for their committment to the six pillars of character as outlined by the Character Counts program in place at Arnold School. Brian spoke of his own life and the need to make good choices in order to develop the character needed to make the best of one's life. Brian was able to overcome some difficult days in East Los Angeles to play college and professional baseball eventually settling in Lincoln Nebraska seven years ago when he came to play for the Lincoln Saltdogs. Brian helped congratulate our newest group of students of character.
above - Mrs. Honeycutt rode into the assembly to challenge the kids to keep reading. See below for details.
Mrs. Archer, media specialist, shows students how far they have come and how far there is to go in their reading challenge. When Arnold students have acculated 750,000 minutes of reading our administrators will have to particpate in a bicycle race. Let's keep reading and watch them ride.
