Arnold School is the SAFE and CARING place to be.

At Arnold School we all follow four simple rules:

1. Be positive in words and actions.
2. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
3. Walk and talk quietly inside.
4. Follow adult directions.

Expectations for student behavior in common areas at Arnold School

Lunchroom

-Wait in line by staying in order and moving with the group
-Be prepared by using the restroom before coming to cafeteria
-Collect all necessary items when going through the line
-Sit on bench with feet under table
-Use clean-up protocol
1. Paper in garbage cans
2. Leave milk on tray
3. Raise hand to be excused from table
-Walk carefully at all times
-Use dismissal protocol
1. Check floor and table for cleanliness
2. Follow teacher quietly out the south hallway
-Fill in each side of the table in turn
-Know or carry SNAP #
-Use six inch voice
-Use please, thank you and excuse me
-Engage in courteous and friendly conversation

 

 

Playground

-Walk to and from the playground
-Line up when signaled
-Stay within boundaries
-Be aware of activities and games around you
-No play fighting
-Use equipment in an appropriate manner
-Leave gravel, snow and ice on the ground
-No chasing games
-Be fair and play by the rules of the game
-Include everyone
-Encourage others
-Return playground equipment after use

 

Hallways

-Stay to the right side of the hallway and stairs
-Walk in a straight line when traveling as a class
-Carry a hall pass when unaccompanied by an adult
-Be courteous and respectful of others


 

Before and After School

Before School
-Arrive on time
-Enter the building when the 8:55 bell rings

After school
-Get in line according to the plan for each community to leave the building or attend after school activities
-Follow rules for walking in the hallway
-Stay with the teacher until dismissed outside the building
-Reenter the building only through the main office
-Leave school grounds promptly

-Have courteous conversation with friends
-Encourage classmates to do their best
