Second Grade

We have blooms. See below.

The tulips have emerged.

During the week of February 11-17 the tulips emerged. The exact day is not known as the tulips were visible when the snow melted. The national database has been updated and we will be watching the progress of the tulips in the coming weeks.

Last fall 2nd Graders at Arnold School began their journey with many other school age children to chart the beginning of Spring across the nation. The ground was tilled and the bulbs were planted and all that remained was to care for the planting bed and await the emergence of the harbingers of spring - the tulip. The project is a chance for the second graders to be involved not only at their own school but on the Internet by sharing the arrival dates with other participants in the project. By mapping times of emergence and location on the map it is hoped that the progress of Spring can be charted and observed.
